Duties and Responsibilities of THE-CSIRT

1. Proactive Measures for Cybersecurity Monitoring and Prevention

THE-CSIRT aims to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and preparedness within academic institutions by implementing proactive monitoring and coordination measures.

Collaborate with partner institutions to monitor cybersecurity threats and prepare response mechanisms for potential incidents.

1.2

Serve as a coordination center for sharing cybersecurity information among academic institutions and relevant stakeholders.

1.3

Collect and publish statistical data and reports related to cybersecurity incidents and trends.

1.4

Analyze cybersecurity intelligence and provide recommendations to help institutions mitigate potential threats.

Issue alerts regarding vulnerabilities or emerging cyber threats to assist institutions in taking preventive action.

Monitor technological trends and develop baseline cybersecurity practices for academic institutions.

Support for Partner Institutions

Upon request, THE-CSIRT may provide assistance to institutions in the following areas:

• Research and analysis of cyber threat patterns and trends.
• Guidance on cybersecurity best practices.
• Support in risk and vulnerability assessment.
• Advisory assistance on detecting and responding to cybersecurity incidents.

Coordination and Communication

THE-CSIRT may maintain contact points within participating institutions to facilitate efficient communication and cybersecurity incident coordination.
